Towards a sustainable environment

At Stolway, we are continually researching and implementing ways to reduce our environmental impact and improve the performance of our operations.

We believe that sustainable development is about ensuring our business remains viable and contributes lasting benefits to society through the consideration of social, environmental, ethical and economic aspects in all that we do.

We have phased out HCFC refrigerants well before this was required under the Montreal Protocol. HFC refrigerants are used that have zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and the lowest Global Warming Potential (GWP) properties.

Significant Research and Development has been undertaken towards the use of Natural Refrigerants which have zero ODP, a very low or zero GWP, along with a short estimated atmospheric life. We are already successfully using Natural Refrigerants in Hydrocarbon Vapour Recovery Units (VRU's) manufactured under our `RE Environmental' brand.
